The 5th Polish Congress of Mechanics and the 25th International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics will be held from 4-7 September 2023 in Gliwice at the Education and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology.

Social events will include a visit to the Guido mine and a celebratory gala dinner, organised at the Gliwice aeroclub in the hangar, where the museum of historic gliders is located. Find out more.

Welcome party

If you have not yet registered for the 5th Polish Congress of Mechanics / 25th International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics, please do so as soon as possible. The schedule for the welcome party is already here!

For fans of folk music and more, the event will begin with a concert by the Stanislaw Hadyna’s "SLASK" Song and Dance Ensemble, founded in 1953; ambassador of Polish National and folk culture; more info at: social event section.

Explore the city of Gliwice

Did you know that there was a radio station in Gliwice, established in 1935 (now a branch of the Gliwice Museum). At just under 111m, the antenna tower is currently the tallest wooden structure in Europe. It was built of Siberian larch beams joined together with brass screws. Next to it is the Sensory Park, where you can learn about the phenomenon of sound waves. More info to link.

Due to many requests, the abstract submission deadline has been extended to April 17, 2023. More at important dates section.

The registration module for minisymposiums will be launched on May 8, 2023.

The congress will be held in six months in Gliwice, it is worth thinking about registration and booking accommodation! More at accomodation section.
